Singing Cheburashka!

We LOVE Russian character Cheburashka here at the Spök-spök HQ. As a kid in Sweden, Daniel watched Cheburashka every night on TV, and as a grown up he got the Russian mascot from the Turin Olympics.

By accident we found out that this snow white Cheburashka sings! Does anyone know what he's singing about? Does anyone know this song? If you do, please enlighten us, because we have no clue what this pretty song is all about.

hi!
i came across your posting while browsing for cheburashka and saw your question. the song is Cheburashka's original, from the cartoon. it says: "once, i used to be a strange nameless toy, that no one was approaching at the store. now i am cheburashka and every street dog (meaning everyone, including even dogs on the street) give me its paw when sees me."
and happy voice, of course...
i am posting this anonimously and probably won't come back to this post, so feel free to e-mail me at anitush (atttt) g mail .com.
