Spök-spök is arranging a photo contest!

Spök-spök and his friends love to travel, and to take photos of their adventures. Now they’re inviting YOU to take some pictures of them for their awesome photo contest!

Rules:

1. Take some pictures of any of the Spök-spök characters (Spök-spök, Spökelina, Toofhairy, or Baron von Kon) in a setting of your choice. Be imaginative and adventurous. Be super duper cute. Or be serious and dramatic. Anything goes.
*UPDATE: We've had questions concerning whether contest submissions can be photoshopped, and although we'd prefer photographs that have not been modified, photoshopped pictures can be submitted as well. We prefer unaltered photographs, though. :)

2. Send in no more than 5 of your best photos to contest(at)spokspok(dot)com make sure to include your name, e-mail, and where the picture is taken.

3. If your picture is chosen among the 8 winners, you will be notified via e-mail.

OK, this sounds like fun, but what do I get if I win?

We’ll chose 8 winning pictures, and these winning pictures will be featured in a fancy postcard set entitled “Spök-spök‘s Travel Adventures!” that will hit the stores a few months later.

The winning photographers will not only have their photograph featured on a postcard in the set, they will also receive a copy of the set (this way you don’t have to buy it from a store!), and the picture we chose as our favorite will win a super limited, only one in existence, exclusive… Long-haired Toofhairy!!! (Yep, it's the one in the picture at the beginning of this entry)

The contest opens now and the last day to enter your photos is August 31’th 2008.

By entering the contest, you are granting Spok-spok a non-exclusive license to use your photograph for a postcard to be sold in stores and online, and to be posted online at www.flickr.com, www.plasticandplush.com, www.myspace.com/catspeaker, and spokspok.blogspot.com.


Contest rules:

IMPORTANT: Winning entries to the contest will be made available for people to buy in stores. By entering the contest, you are granting Spök-spök a non-exclusive license to use your photograph for a postcard to be sold in stores and online. If you do not want to grant Spök-spök this license, you should not enter the contest.

The contest opens on April 12, 2008. Entries must be submitted to contest(at)spokspok(dot)com no later than 23:59h (11:59pm) GMT on August 31, 2008. Entries submitted after 00:00h GMT on September 1, 2008 will not be eligible for the prizes.

Winners will be announced on September 15 2008 via e-mail, and on spokspok.blogspot.com and plasticandplush.com.

The contest is open to anyone, regardless of country of residence or age. However if you are under the age of 16, you should get a parent or guardian’s permission before you enter.

You may enter a maximum of five (5) pictures to the contest. Sending more than this may result in your entries being disqualified.

If your designs feature pictures of other people, you are responsible for ensuring they are happy for their picture to be entered in to this contest, and for being featured on a postcard to be sold in stores.

We can only accept electronic entries submitted to contest(at)spokspok(dot)com .

The contest will be judged by Daniel Svanberg, Ming Xue, and Daniel Nylund of Spök-spök and Brian Slivka of plasticandplush.com.

There will be eight (8) winning photographs. Each winner will receive a free postcard set, and the honor of being featured in a great product. One of the winners will also receive a one of a kind long-haired Toofhairy.

Prizes must be taken as stated and cannot be changed.

The judges’ decisions will be final.

Winners will be contacted via e-mail on September 15 2008.

In the event that a winner does not claim their prize within 30 days of being notified Spök-spök reserves the right to withdraw the prize, or award it to another entrant.

Entrants retain all copyright to their entries, except for granting Spök-spök the license to print winning photographs on postcards, and sell these. Spök-spök may also use contest photographs in the promotion of the contest and the postcard set.
Spök-spök ‘s decision is final in every situation.

Spök-spök reserves the right to cancel the contest at any stage, if deemed necessary in their opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of their control.

Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them when entering this contest.
We will not pass on your personal details to any other organization without your permission except for the purposes of running the contest that you have entered.
